My focus is on establishing a collaborative connection to help you learn new coping skills, build autonomy, gain a greater sense of self-worth and enhance healthy relationships in your daily life. While working with you, I practice empathy, validation, realism and humor. To meet your needs, I take a person-centered approach and use a variety of therapies, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), strength based perspective and motivational interviewing.
I have experience working with teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families in inpatient, outpatient and private practice settings. I am passionate about helping my clients identify strengths, gain greater self-awareness and develop tools to overcome challenges that block the opportunity to feel satisfaction in all aspects of life. I work with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationships, grief and loss, parenting, addiction and trauma.
My experiences as a therapist have shown me that you can make small doable shifts that lead to remarkable changes in your life.
